Frank, one of the owners is also a car fanatic, especially with the old classic cars. He restores all the cars they have to offer. I rented a gorgeous sea foam green 1955 Chevy Station Wagon for this engagement session and it was amazing. The couple loved it and it was just as much a character in the story as Don & Steph were. These classic cars are a must for your engagement session as well as styled shoot, portrait or even wedding! The On Broadway team actually allows you to rent these beauties for your event. You can pick from their ever growing list and have it their as a chauffeur to or from your event or you can even rent it out to stay at your wedding as a photo op for you and your guests!
Oak Hallow Farms is a breathtaking property that offers various picturesque backdrops, a stunning barn, serene pond and one of my personal favorites, a vintage car! From black tie Saturday to a rustic chic style wedding Sunday, OHF can do both with ease in their dreamy barn and outdoor spaces.
I am so excited for this dude and the adventures he is about to go on into college! I had the honor of capturing a friend’s high school senior photos in Upper park, Chico CA. Hunter and his family have been dear friends of my family ever since his parents were in my parents young […]
It’s no secret that everyone and their sister has a good camera in their phone these days. We are all walking around with mini cameras that are ready to snap a pic at moments notice. What many guests might not realize is that you have hired professionals to do just that! Many photographers will recommend at least an unplugged ceremony. The last thing you want is great aunt Sally with her Ipad trying to get a photo of you and your new spouse kissing half way down the isle while your paid for photographer(s) is doing just that.
Unplugged weddings are on the rise and becoming quite popular. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, “unplugged” simply refers to having your guests keep their phones in their pockets and purses till the ceremony and or part of the reception is over.
Personally, I prefer to at least have unplugged ceremonies. This allows your friends and family to be present with you in the moment that they came to see. You hired and paid professionals to capture these moments. Once the ceremony is done, I don’t mind seeing guests with their phones; heck half the fun is snapping a shot of your best friends from college taking a selfie. I think it’s rather fun to have phones out during the reception once the party has started. You get all kinds of different angles and POVs from your guests which can really be fun!
At the end of the day, it is your call whether you have an unplugged wedding or not. I’ll go with the flow either way and make it the best experience for not just you and your spouse, but also your friends and family too.
