Super 8mm

A limited-format film offering for couples who want a living record of their day—imperfect, tactile, and made to endure.

An Archive in Motion

My role is to anticipate, shape, and protect the flow of the day so you never have to think about where to be, what to do, or how things should look. I stay aware of timing, light, movement, and energy—stepping in with direction when it matters, and disappearing when it doesn’t.

The result is imagery that feels effortless, cinematic, and grounded—because the experience itself was.

Why Film, Still

Super 8 slows the way a wedding is remembered.

It doesn’t chase perfection or clarity—it preserves atmosphere, movement, and the quiet in-between moments that are often lost to time. Grain, light leaks, and imperfections aren’t flaws here; they’re part of what makes the footage feel lived in rather than produced.

This format is chosen intentionally. Not for coverage, but for memory.

How It’s Used

Super 8 is used selectively—woven into the day where it adds emotional weight rather than distraction. I don’t film continuously, and I don’t direct moments for the sake of footage.

Instead, I look for rhythm: movement, transitions, pauses, and scenes that benefit from softness and motion. The result is a short film that feels intuitive and restrained—not a highlight reel, but an artifact.

An Intentional Addition

This offering is best suited for couples who value atmosphere over polish, and who see their wedding as something to be remembered—not replayed.

Super 8 isn’t for everyone, and it isn’t available for every celebration. It’s reserved for weddings where there’s space to move slowly, trust the process, and let the day unfold without performance.

The Film

Your Super 8 film is developed and digitized professionally, then edited with the same restraint and intention as my photographic work.

The final piece is delivered as a short, cohesive film—something to return to years from now, not something designed for immediate consumption.

Availability

Super 8 is offered in limited capacity and most often alongside photographic coverage, where it can be woven naturally into the rhythm of the day. Availability is determined by scope, timeline, and overall flow.

For couples who already have a photographer and are seeking Super 8 as a standalone film offering, a small number of dedicated Super 8 collections are available each year. These are designed with the same restraint and intention, and are reserved for celebrations where the format can be used thoughtfully rather than continuously.

If it feels aligned, we’ll discuss the best approach together.

Where feeling leads.
Where place and presence are handled with care.
Where the work is created to endure.
