The Ultimate Pre-Wedding Checklist: Everything You Need to Remember

Are you feeling overwhelmed with the sheer number of tasks that go into planning a wedding? You’re not alone. That’s why I’ve created the ultimate pre-wedding checklist to help you stay on track and make sure your special day runs smoothly.

Frank, one of the owners is also a car fanatic, especially with the old classic cars. He restores all the cars they have to offer. I rented a gorgeous sea foam green 1955 Chevy Station Wagon for this engagement session and it was amazing. The couple loved it and it was just as much a character in the story as Don & Steph were. These classic cars are a must for your engagement session as well as styled shoot, portrait or even wedding! The On Broadway team actually allows you to rent these beauties for your event. You can pick from their ever growing list and have it their as a chauffeur to or from your event or you can even rent it out to stay at your wedding as a photo op for you and your guests!

Vintage Car Engagement Photos

I know I know, you are probably going to say “We are just so awkward in front of the camera. We don’t know what to do, we don’t think we need the photos.” First off, I hear you. Engagement photos are so great to get you comfortable with me, my work ethic and having a camera pointed at you. E.P. (engagement photos) allow you and your spouse to feel out the process before the rush of the wedding day.

I had the beautiful opportunity to partake in a styled shoot at Oak Hollow farms, a local wedding venue in Orland, CA. OHFs is a breathtaking property that offers various picturesque backdrops, a stunning barn, serene pond and one of my personal favorites, a vintage car! From black tie Saturday to a rustic chic style wedding Sunday, OHF can do both with ease in their dreamy barn and outdoor spaces.

The venue is tucked away surrounded by beautiful oak trees in Orland, California. An outdoor bar area is a perfect place for cocktail hour which can be provided by their on staff licensed bar tender. If the weather decides to change on you suddenly their indoor barn space has a max capacity of 300 people so you don’t need to stress about a thing. Being here in the valley, our summers and falls are quite hot, but OHF has got you covered. They offer port-a-coolers that can be placed facing inside the barn to keep you and your guests nice and cool throughout your whole wedding! On the flip side, if it’s going to be too cold for you and your guests, they offer propane heaters, which will keep the barn toasty warm.

A few other extras the venue has to offer is the bridal suite for you and your whole wedding party to get ready in together. Featuring big windows all around to let in that natural light, which can create breathtaking and dreamy backlit photos. Salon chairs, mirrors, and desks for getting ready are all supplied so you don’t need to lift a finger!

Overall, Oak Hollow Farms will be a perfect wedding venue for your big day. My personal favorite features of the venue are the old rustic barn which adds beautiful textures and a nice backdrop to photos as well as the hanging sheer cloth and lights which adds to an already dreamy interior. I love the big white barn and natural doors for that extra WOW factor for the big kiss. The vintage car is also such a fun photo-op for both the wedding party and your guests.
